When George W Bush was talking about invading Iraq, congress was all like, "Yeah Georgie, that's a GREAT idea! Then in a few years lets invade Iran. Haha." And uh.. Oh. We.. Uh.. And, let's face it, being straightfaced sarcastic to someone who absolutely deserves both barrels of it, *without them being aware*, is despicable behavior but also one of life's guilty pleasures. Irony's just the limp prawn cocktail starter when it comes to these people. And I agree, it's *complicated*. It's Advanced Humor. If you can crack a joke in another language, you're fluent. If you can be sarcastic, you're practically native. I say all this because you Americans obviously don't understand sarcasm properly, you just don't get it, right over your heads, whoosh.
